Values and Ethos
Our aim at Carnarvon is to provide a secure, happy environment through which the children can develop within the society to which they belong. Our wish is to develop their potential physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
We encourage children to be self-disciplined, caring for others and thoughtful of their own environment. We believe that feelings and attitudes are important and that the children should have an understanding of other people’s points of view, religions and cultures in order to be active and useful members of society.
We hope to achieve our aims through activities offered within the curriculum and by teachers having high expectations of their children’s abilities to achieve the highest possible standards of work and behaviour, whilst enjoying what they are doing.
We aim to produce a lively, caring and interesting environment, conducive to good primary practice, where everyone feels valued and entitled to all that we have to offer.
We are part of the Rushcliffe Schools Alliance. Over 30 schools in the district work together to improve the quality of learning for our children.
