Spring 2024

Our termly project information

Our main topic throughout the Summer Term is ‘Big Wide World'. The children will learn about the global community to which they belong and explores how living things, communities and climates differ around the world.
Our minor topics that we will be exploring throughout the Summer Term are 'Splash' and 'Sunshine and Sunflowers'. Hopefully we will enjoy a beautiful summer, where the children will have the chance to explore the properties of water and sun safety.

Reading Planet Rocket Phonics: Pronunciation of phonics sounds Pink A/Phonics Phase 2

In this short video, you'll hear how every phonics sound (or grapheme-phoneme correspondence) is pronounced. You'll also hear a word(s) for each sound so you can place the sound in context. The flashcards featured are taken from the Reading Planet Rocket Phonics SSP programme which we use in school.
