Year 5 Sailing Day
Year 5 spent some memorable hours down at Notts County Sailing Club, enjoying a range of aquatic activities. They were lucky to sail in some larger sailing dinghies (with RYA instructors at the helm), and then, they got a chance to try the small sailing dinghies themselves. The sound of their laughter and squeals of delight told their own story. Needless to say, some of them enjoyed a little impromptu swim! To end things, the children took part in a sailboard paddling relay. Steering the boards proved difficult for some, who seemed intent on making it to the far shore! The children were brilliant throughout and a credit to Carnarvon. Finally, we must say a big thank you to all the parents who helped on the day, along with all the NCSC volunteers who gave up their time to make the day so successful.
