All are welcome at the Carnarvon PTA
Founded in 2023 when a couple of enthusiastic parents approached the school about reinstating a school disco, the PTA has gone from strength, raising over £5000 in its first 12 months. We are a friendly, informal group, that meets approximately once a term to discuss progress and future projects and just to have a bit of a social get-together. Our primary focus is to create a community within the school, where everyone can get involved in projects for the good of the school, the children, and the wider community.
A few of the activities the PTA have organised or supported to date include:
Halloween and Valentines Discos which have proved a huge hit with the children and are now a regular fixture
An evening of Prosecco, fashion, beauty and more, where we were supported by several small local businesses who attended the event with stalls and provided a full-blown fashion show. Three lucky volunteers received a full makeover on the night, and all had a lovely sociable time
Several mums ran an Ice cream stall at the Summer Sports Days, providing very welcome refreshments for both the parents and children
There is an ongoing opportunity for parents or grandparents to get involved in helping with gardening projects, and we also plan a “big tidy up” in the spring for families to come along and get involved in some projects on the school grounds.
Fundraising goals
Initial projects we are focused on fundraising for are, new and improved outdoor quiet reading areas for Lower and Upper School and all-weather canopies for the playgrounds for the benefit of both the children and parents.

Carnarvon Colour Run May 2025
What an incredible event! Our Colour Run was a huge success and a day we’ll remember for a long time. This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support from all our Carnarvon families.
We’re thrilled to announce that we have raised £9051, which will go towards improving outdoor play for our children. We also donated £950 to the Richard Whitehead Foundation, and he was here to be presented with his cheque and to start off our Colour Run.
