Our outdoor learning environment, the Oasis, has become a haven for many species of wildlife and is used regularly by the children as an exciting learning environment. Thanks to the help of staff, parents and children the unremarkable grassy hollow was transformed into a spectacular pond and wildlife garden in during the Spring and Summer of 2009.
In the Autumn the Oasis was entered into the Notts Wildlife Trust 'Green Guardian' competition and beat 15 other competitors in the education category to take the Green Guardian Award 2009 with a trophy and prize money of £1000.
