SWIMMING GALA - FEBRUARY 2018

Well done to all the children who represented Carnarvon in the swimming gala which took place on 15th February. It was a very noisy and excitable event and that was just from the parent supporters!!

Overall we came 3rd. Well done everyone!!

INDOOR CRICKET - FEBRUARY 2018

Well done to all the Year 5 and 6 children who participated in the indoor cricket event on 14th February. You were a credit to Carnarvon.

YEAR 6 ROWING FESTIVAL - JANUARY 2018

Pictured here are the boys’ and girls’ teams rowing merrily at the rowing festival held last Thursday at South Wolds Academy. Well done to everyone who took part.

INDOOR ROWING - DECEMBER 2017

24 of our Year 6 children enjoyed an evening of rowing this week - though thankfully not in boats on a river!! This was a fun festival and everyone enjoyed taking part.
The girls’ and boys’ teams are pictured alongside one of their ‘boats’ - a ‘Concept 2’ rowing machine.

YEAR 4 - SANTA RUN - DECEMBER 2017

Before the Christmas break, Year 4 children took part in a Santa run. This was a proper cross-country run, off site, along muddy footpaths and through fields. As you can see from this photo, the children thoroughly enjoyed it.

MULTI-SKILLS FESTIVAL - NOVEMBER 2017

On Tuesday, eight of our KS2 children spent a great morning at Lee Westwood Centre taking part in team challenges - a lovely opportunity to put morning maths and English to one side and represent the school in sport - well done all of you!!

MILE IN STYLE!!

The latest marathon runners to complete their 26 miles are Thomas and Cameron from 5Ma and Ollie from 5Mc. Here's how they completed their final 'mile in style'.

TAG RUGBY - NOVEMBER 2017
Congratulations to our "fab 5's" who, after just a few practice sessions to learn the game, went to the High School for a Boys' Tag Rugby tournament last Friday... and won! The quality of the rugby was exceptional and some very tight games made it particularly exciting to watch for the parents who attended. Undefeated with scores of 8-1, 5-3, 5-5 and 5-3, it was a thoroughly deserved win - retaining the trophy that Carnarvon won last year.

What a great way to start their weekend!

MARATHON RUNNERS - OCTOBER 2017

Congratulations to our first marathon runners of the season; 'Yoda Dan', ‘Thomas Suarez' and 'Wynne of the Wild West' are our 'Mile in Style' runners, completing their 26 miles (52 laps) of the school grounds in Year 5/6 Cross Country Club last Thursday. Certificates are on their way…
