SPORTS NEWS FROM SEPTEMBER 2017
NETBALL NEWS NOVEMBER 2017
Saturday 11th November, some of the netball girls entered the monthly “Two Counties Netball Tournament”. They all played really well together and came 4th out of 8 teams—not bad as some of them have only just started Netball Club. Milly from 6M was awarded the players’ player award out of all the teams, after receiving the most nominations. Well done girls!!
CROSS-COUNTRY NOVEMBER 2017
On a beautiful crisp morning last Saturday, our runners were back in action again for the autumn cross-country league. Sienna ran on her birthday; Rahaan ran for the school for the very first time; the boys extended their lead at the top of the table and Abby lost her shoe in the mud near the start and ran the rest of the race in just a sock! A lovely way to spend a Saturday morning - well done team!

MILE IN STYLE!!
The latest marathon runners to complete their 26 miles are Thomas and Cameron from 5Ma and Ollie from 5Mc. Here's how they completed their final 'mile in style'.
TAG RUGBY NOVEMBER 2017
Congratulations to our "fab 5's" who, after just a few practice sessions to learn the game, went to the High School for a Boys' Tag Rugby tournament last Friday... and won! The quality of the rugby was exceptional and some very tight games made it particularly exciting to watch for the parents who attended. Undefeated with scores of 8-1, 5-3, 5-5 and 5-3, it was a thoroughly deserved win - retaining the trophy that Carnarvon won last year.
What a great way to start their weekend!
CROSS COUNTRY OCTOBER 2017
Rushcliffe Competitions organiser, Chris Ballard (pictured) visited our assembly recently to present the gold medals to our winning boys’ and girls’ teams in a recent cross country event. A historic result for both Carnarvon and the competition itself! Amazing team running!
MARATHON RUNNERS OCTOBER 2017
Congratulations to our first marathon runners of the season; 'Yoda Dan', ‘Thomas Suarez' and 'Wynne of the Wild West' are our 'Mile in Style' runners, completing their 26 miles (52 laps) of the school grounds in Year 5/6 Cross Country Club last Thursday. Certificates are on their way…
