Work hard, be kind

Carnarvon Primary School

Forest School

On Monday 20th May, the group had a fantastic last session at Forest School.  They used wax crayons to create bark rubbings.  They also particularly enjoyed building a fire to toast marshmallows and singing campfire songs.

On Monday 13th May, 3S Group 2 enjoyed looking for mini-beasts in the copse.  They also created some very artistic collages on the floor of the copse using natural materials.

On Monday 29th April, 3S Group 2 enjoyed their first session of Forest School.  They used lots of excellent team-work, perseverance and cooperation to build animal shelters.

On Monday 11th March, Group 1 created their own bird feeders. They used sheath knives to cut twine which they tied onto a pine cone.  They then mixed together bird seed and lard and covered the pine cone with this mixture.  The bird feeders were then hung up on trees around the copse.  Meanwhile, the children were busy creating natural material pictures on the floor of the copse.

On Monday 4th March, 3S Group 1 enjoyed building animal shelters in the copse and playing the 'Animal Name Game'.

On Friday 27th September we have a Preloved clothing sale in the school office from 2pm and the Foundation Parents' Coffee and Cake afternoon for Macmillan is from 2.45pm-3.30pm. Please check our calendar under the Parent Tab, for information on all events and trips taking place.
